BYAF IX; GRAND TOTAL + MORE!!!

Now that we’re a week removed from the final load out of Book Yer Ane Fest IX and the dust settled, we are delighted to say that we’ve been in touch with Lisa Stuart from Safe-Tay to confirm that collectively we have raised £1500 for the causes that they support. Lisa has been in touch with Tayside Mountain Rescue and the water safety teams and we will soon know exactly what the money will be going towards.

There will also be a conference on water safety in Tayside in the coming months, of which Safe-Tay will be a part, and we’re very proud that BYAF will be represented therein also. Full details as soon as we have them.

This is the largest single amount we’ve ever made for Safe-Tay and we cannot over-emphasise how grateful we are for the support and generosity of everyone collectively involved in BYAF. We really couldn’t do what we do without the support of the bands, venues, friends, family, music fans, punks, staff and the entirety of the local and national DIY community. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you also to those who have taken the time to share photos, videos and words about their experiences over BYAF weekend. We love seeing/ready about other peoples’ experiences as we are often so immersed in what’s going on that we can oftentimes lack objectivity. Thanks to Muso’s Guide and Colin’s Punk Rock World for their particularly thorough coverage.

BYAF IX; The Comp will stay online and any/all donations for downloads will be passed onto Safe-Tay.

We’d also encourage you to check out the great work from our friend Graeme Meldrum of GGM Photography who has collected together hundreds of images from across the weekend. Massive thanks also to Brad of Sink Alaska for putting together this amazing highlight reel from the Friday/Saturday of BYAF that we feel is a pretty accurate summation of things!

We are delighted to announce that BOOK YER ANE FEST X will happen at Buskers / The Vestry in Dundee from Friday 2nd through Sunday 4th December 2016, full details of which will emerge in due course.

Wrapping things up, we’re having an End Of Year Sale on our bigcartel page with loads of cheap records, CDs and shirts starting from three quid. We’re down to to the last one or two of many items and won’t be restocked so act fast is there’s something you’re after.

Thanks for all the support throughout another incredible year. We’ll see you in 2016 for our tenth birthday.
