Thanks to everyone who came out to our first show at Room at the Top this weekend, we reckon it’s going to make for a pretty awesome spot. Thanks also to everyone who picked up a copy of the Shitgripper EP, both digitally and at the shows over the weekend. Ye can grab a copy of the CD/download here.
Moving forward, we’ve got a big weekend of punk rock coming with three incredible shows that will feature The Murderburgers, The Kimberly Steaks, Revenge of the Psychotronic Man (eng) and The Fur Coats (usa), who’ll be celebrating the launch of their “Short-Brain” 7″ whilst touring down to Wonkfest.
It all kicks off on Friday night with SUMMERPUNKS at Buskers, Dundee where our travelling foursome will be joined by two of Dundee’s finest in the form of the east coast Kings of Ska-punk Maxwell’s Dead and ever-growing Dundee youngsters Panicbyflare. There will also be not one but TWO SPECIAL GUESTS including a mystery opener who shall be kicking things of at 6.30pm.
We will also be hosting the SUMMERPUNKS CLUB NIGHT after the show with THE MORON BROTHERS manning the metaphorical wheels of steel playing the finest in punk/ska/emo/hxc until the early hours.
There are still a limited number of e-tickets available for a fiver, otherwise tickets are £6 from Groucho’s in Dundee or £7 on the door. This could well be the punk rock rammy of Dundee’s summer so get down early and catch everyone. That’ll be a theme running throughout the whole weekend!
Then on Saturday we’re off to Glasgow for a veritable banquet of international pop punk goodness alongside the likes of Zatopeks, Ghost On Tape, Don Blake, Austeros, The Lemonaids and more at Nice N Sleazy for what should be one of the highlights of a very busy summer. There are no advanced tickets on sale for STUCK IN SPRINGTIME FEST so if you want to guarantee your entry, we’d suggest getting down for doors at 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
Don’t be a bozo and miss out!
Wrapping up our weekend, we have the LETHAL LOTTERY at The Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh to bring our weekend of pop punk japery to a close. The concept is a simple one; the order of bands will not be announced in advance and will be drawn at random just before doors. If you want to catch everyone, then we strongly suggest that ye get down for doors as first band will be on sharp.
To reiterate, doors are at 7pm and the first band will be on sharp. We won’t be advertising the running order beforehand so make sure you’re there earlybells to catch everyone. As the Banshee is tiny, we’d also strongly encourage folk to pick up an e-ticket for a fiver. These will be available until midnight on Friday otherwise it’ll be siz quid on doors.
Should be a wild one!
