The incredible “Bad Driving” LP from our Amsterdam punk rock’n’roll wrecking crew comrades Black Volvo was released on Friday 17th March and features 17 tracks of rip-snorting hardcore punk rock mayhem like Motorhead and Zeke caught in a tear up with Poison Idea and The Dangerfields. Released in the spirit of collaboration with our friends at TNS Records, “Bad Driving” is available on both classic black and limited edition pink vinyl (not many left), on CD and as a digital download.
The record has had some great reviews already, including this cracker from Broken Arrow Magazine. Cheers to everyone who pre-ordered the album and those who’ve bought copies over the weekend. All Season Ticket holders should have their copies by now also. Grab one for yourself here.
We’ve also had some really positive feedback about “The Sickness, The Shame” EP from Goodbye Blue Monday, so thanks to everyone who has bought a copy or downloaded the EP. The EP tackles issues of mental health problems, depression and bi-polarity and aims to raise funds and awareness for Samaritans to help end the stigma of mental health problems, wrapped around three absolute humdingin’ punk rock bangers. Don’t suffer in silence.
The releases are coming thick and fast this year.
The new “Float” 7″ EP from Copenhagen melodic punks Forever Unclean is out this coming Friday on beautiful orange 7″ vinyl and as a digital download through a coalition of Disconnect Disconnect Records, 5FeetUnder, MTAT and the band. These three Danish road warriors play passionate high-energy melodic skate/pop-punk with hooks all over the place, coming over like Cyndi Lauper fronting NUFAN.
We’re really excited to be part of this release and y’all show check out Punknews.org tomorrow for the premier of the brand new music video. We’ll have a pre-order available through our Bandcamp page tomorrow, records will be shipping this week and the record will be officially released this Friday.
Forever Unclean will return to Scotland on the weekend on May 13/14th as part of their UK tour in support of “Float” and they’ll be back in Dundee for this first time since Book Yer Ane Fest IX when they play the BASEMENT PUNKS All-Dayer at Conroy’s Basement alongside Airstream Futures (featuring members of All Eyes West, The Methadones, The Bomb), Goodbye Blue Monday, Elk Gang, Bird Law, The Ground We Tread and more on Saturday 13th May. Full details soon!
Then follows the release of “Come On Home, Hero”, the first single taken from the forthcoming “Aphorisms” LP by Tragical History Tour.
Written the day after the Brexit referendum, “Come On Home, Hero” will be released as a one-sided white flexi vinyl 7″, as a three track CD single and as a digital download through MTAT and Aaah!!! Real Records. The flexi will come with a download code featuring all three tracks, including the exclusive b-sides “Even Cowpunks Get The Blues” and a cover of the Billy Liar classic “Change”. Keep your eyes peeled for a music video coming soon too!
The single will be released on Friday 14th April to coincide with the first date of the Tragical History Tour April UK Tour, starting at The Corner House in Cambridge with Sam Russo, hitting Dugstock in London then snaking through the south-west of England and Wales en route to Manchester Punk Festival.
